High Houses is located in a beautiful yet quieter part of the English Lake District in north Cumbria. Situated in the Northern Fells behind Skiddaw and Blencathra, the wonderful area is less well known than the other more hectic parts of the Lake District.

We are only 20 minutes from Keswick, Carlisle and Cockermouth and half an hour from Penrith, yet far enough away to be "out in the sticks". Our closest lake is Bassenthwaite (10 minutes drive away). High Houses is located at:
